    The major objective of the Plant Healthcare Technician position is to perform ornamental and turf applications in accordance with daily production standards. This is achieved by positively motivating other applicators through exemplary work habits, follow through of daily and weekly assignments set by facility chemical supervisor, establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with your manager and with property/project managers as required, keeping manager informed of progress and problems on the job site, ensure quality of work being performed according to Acres standards, and follow through with accurate paperwork on a daily basis.  The technician will also maintain a positive image for Acres in the field and in the industry.




      • Complete turf and ornamental applications utilizing departmental standard operating procedures.
      • Meet or exceed production timelines and goals.
      • Organize equipment, materials and labor to efficiently complete projects set by your supervisor during the landscape and snow removal seasons.
      • Scan material and project bar codes properly for accurate information, using the Modeco application on your cell phone
      • Coordinate daily activities under changing circumstances.
      • Assume responsibility for ensuring the overall quality and precision of all work at the job sites, including attending to the details
      • Mix and safely apply chemical according to product label specifications.
      • While applying product to properties, observe and diagnose other needs. Notify your manager of any unusual or drastic changes in properties.  Notify your manager, the maintenance production manager and account manager responsible for that property of your observations.
      • Use independent judgment to develop creative solutions to problems that may arise in the course of a workday.
      • Handle customer complaints with tact and notify your Manager of the complaint.
      • Project a positive image to the outside in your representation of the Company.
      • Comply with all departmental and overall Company policies and procedures. Departmental procedures include proper utilization of the wash water rinsate facility.
      • Responsible for the timely reporting of timesheets, and other required paperwork.
      • Communicate effectively with your Manager, Production Managers, the Fleet Manager, Mechanics, and Clients: Project/Property Managers.
      • Performs general maintenance and maintains cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and any assigned equipment.
      • Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer on a daily basis.
      • Efficiently route and schedule work on a daily basis to insure applications are on a timely basis.
      • Responsible for working in a safe manner and reporting any problems to your Manager.
      • Report all equipment problems to your Manager and to the shop for repair.
      • Assist your Manager with monthly inventory count as needed.
      • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of departmental standard operating procedures, equipment and material utilization, etc.





      • Must be able to operate all equipment for extended periods of time.
      • Must have the ability to lift at least 60 pounds.
      • Must be able to drive to the job site and conduct daily tours and visual inspections of landscapes, which include areas yet to be graded, seeded or sodded; areas with varying turf heights and textures; all sizes and shapes of shrubbery, bushes, flower beds, etc....
      • Strong Plant identification skills and experience with reading chemical labels
      • Landscape and/or lawn care field experience.
      • Horticultural knowledge.
      • Ability to communicate in English.
      • Ability to participate in and absorb continuous applicator training.




      • Maintain operator's pesticide license.
      • Must have class "C" license at a minimum. CDL license preferred.
