    MAJOR OBJECTIVES:

    The major objective of the Turf Healthcare Foreman position is to perform ornamental and turf applications in accordance with daily production standards. The THC Foreman will also maintain a positive image for Acres in the field and in the industry.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Complete turf and ornamental applications utilizing departmental standard operating procedures.
      • Meet or exceed production timelines and goals.
      • Scan material and project bar codes properly for accurate information, using the Modeco application on your cell phone
      • Pro – actively communicate concerns or issues seen on sites to your direct supervisor
      • Organize equipment and materials to efficiently complete projects set by your manager during the landscape and snow removal seasons.
      • Coordinate daily activities under changing circumstances as directed by your manager.
      • Assume responsibility for ensuring the overall quality and precision of all work at the job sites, including attending to the details
      • Mix and safely apply chemical according to product label specifications.
      • While applying product to properties, observe and diagnose other needs. Notify your manager of your observations and of any unusual or drastic changes in properties.
      • Use independent judgment to develop creative solutions to problems that may arise in the course of the workday.
      • Inform the Turf Healthcare Senior Foremen of any customer complaint. The Senior Foremen should then notify his Manager of the complaint.
      • Project a positive image to the outside in your representation of the Company.
      • Comply with all departmental and overall Company policies and procedures. Departmental procedures include proper utilization of the wash water rinsate facility.
      • Responsible for the timely reporting of time records and other required paperwork to the Turf Healthcare Senior Foremen.
      • Communicate effectively with the Turf Healthcare Senior Foremen and Turf & Plant Healthcare Manager.
      • Perform general maintenance and maintains cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and any assigned equipment.
      • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer on a daily basis.
      • Responsible for working in a safe manner and reporting any problems to your supervisor.
      • Report all equipment problems to your supervisor and to the shop for repair.
      • Assist facility Turf & Plant Healthcare Manager with monthly inventory count as needed.
      • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of departmental standard operating procedures, equipment and material utilization, etc.

       

       

       

    Qualifications

      • Must be able to operate all equipment for extended periods of time.
      • Must be able to drive to the job site and conduct daily tours and visual inspections of landscapes, which include areas yet to be graded, seeded or sodded; areas with varying turf heights and textures; all sizes and shapes of shrubbery, bushes, flower beds, etc....
      • Must have the ability to lift at least 60 pounds.
      • Landscape field and/or lawn care experience.
      • Horticultural knowledge.
      • Ability to communicate in English.
      • Ability to participate in and absorb continuous applicator training.

      PREREQUISITES:

      • Maintain operator's pesticide license.
      • Must have class "C" license at a minimum. CDL license preferred.
